The East Hermit of Leisure   Xu Jiahui

The inspiration comes from Zhang Zhihe's poem "Fisherman's Song," which describes the beauty of nature: "In front of Xisi Mountain, white egrets fly; peach blossoms, flowing water, and fat fish abound. Wearing a green bamboo hat, a green raincoat, I can wander freely in the slanting wind and drizzling rain, with no need to return." The fisherman in the poem embodies the pursuit of nature and a better life, braving the wind and rain in a solitary boat, enjoying the fragrance of orchids and the glow of the moon while drifting downstream, living a carefree and leisurely life. Fishing is not only a means of survival but also a symbol of pursuing a natural and beautiful life.

Through research on the working environment and tasks of aquatic workers, the design combines comfort and contemporary fashion to explore the concept of "gathering and releasing" in clothing. This concept enables aquatic workers to conveniently switch between work and rest. The first layer of "gathering and releasing" refers to tightening the clothes when starting work and loosening them for comfortable rest. The second layer of meaning is about gathering one's emotions during work and freely expressing oneself after work, just like a free-spirited wanderer.
